The Wambule Rai Society of Nepal (वाम्बुले राई समाज, नेपाल), which is also known by its acronym WAMRAS (वाम्रास), is the official organisation of the Wambule Rai ethnic group of eastern Nepal.

The Wambule Rai Society of Nepal is committed to the recognition, protection and promotion of the Wambule language. The organisation encourages the use of the Wambule language, in speech and writing, in public and private life.

We are delighted to inform you that the Wambule Rai Society of Nepal (WAMRAS) is going to organize a workshop on the traditional, public festival Dhwangkum and its cultural significance. On the occasion of this year’s Dhwangkum, the meeting central committee of WAMRAS has decided to organize the workshop on Sunday 22 August 2010 and a public get-together on Tuesday 24 August 2010 in the Kathmandu Valley.
